Why Trump is saying no to security briefings: reports

Image
As former President Donald Trump continues to face federal charges for mishandling classified documents, the 2024 GOP nominee is currently refusing security briefings for the remainder of election season in order to dodge any further allegations. According to Axios, the MAGA hopeful told the Daily Mail that he wants to "avoid being accused of leaking information." More specifically, the Daily Beast notes Trump claims the accusations would come from President Joe Biden's team. They give you a briefing, and then two days later, they leak it. And then they say, 'You leaked it.' The only way to solve that problem is not to take it—I don’t want it." Believing he will secure the White House in November, Trump added: "I’ll have plenty of them when I get in." Per the B...

'Ghoulishness': Ann Coulter deletes 'incomprehensible' jab at Tim Walz’s son after backlash

Image
Right-wing commentator Ann Coulter on Thursday published a now deleted post making fun of 2024 Democratic nominee Tim Walz's 17-year-old son, Gus, who has "a non-verbal learning disorder, an anxiety disorder and ADHD," according to the Minnesota governor's family. During his Democratic National Convention address Wednesday night, Walz turned to wife, son, and daughter, saying: "Hope, Gus and Gwen–you are my entire world, and I love you." The camera panned to Gus who was standing up, crying tears of joy, and pointing to his dad as he appeared to shout "that's my dad!" 'Flattened like a cheap pillow': Mike Lindell brutally mocked after losing debate with 12-year-old

Image
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell continues to promote the false and repeatedly debunked claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump, and Georgia is among the states that Lindell claims President Joe Biden didn't really win — even though Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, both conservative Republicans, have maintained that Biden's victory in the Peach State was perfectly legitimate. Now, Lindell is being mocked on Twitter after yelling at Knowa , a 12-year-old Democratic National Convention attendee, about Georgia's 2020 election results. Lindell, during the conservation, shouted that "257,000 votes" in Georgia "are missing from the 2020 election." DeSantis’ rep further diminished after series of brutal GOP primary losses

Image
After the 2022 midterms, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was hailed as one of the rock stars of the GOP and the MAGA movement. DeSantis defeated Democratic gubernatorial nominee Charlie Crist (an ex-Republican) by 19 percent in a year when Democrats greatly exceeded expectations, and some right-wing pundits predicted he would go on to win the 2024 GOP presidential nomination and enjoy a solid victory over President Joe Biden in the general election. But DeSantis underperformed as a presidential candidate and ended up dropping out of the race and endorsing now-nominee Donald Trump, who is up against Democratic nominee Kamala Harris now that Biden is no longer seeking reelection. In an article published on August 21 , NBC News' Matt Dixon stresses that DeSantis' reputation in GOP circles has continued to suffer in light of some primary election results the night before. Experts say 'barely relevant' RFK Jr. endorsement of Trump makes GOP ticket 'even weirder'

Image
Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly planning to drop out of the 2024 race and endorse former President Donald Trump this week. That news has prompted both scorn and ridicule from various journalists, pundits and pollsters covering the election. On Wednesday, ABC News reported that the son of the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy was expected to announce his formal support of Trump's third bid for the White House by the end of the week "in order to try to blunt momentum from the Democratic National Convention." While he told the outlet he wouldn't "confirm or deny" those reports, he may appear onstage with Trump at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday. Author and podcaster Jared Yates Sexton tweeted that the news of RFK Jr.'s impending exit from the race was "another indicator that Trump's campaign is in free fall." 'Saw him when cameras were off': Ex-MAGA aide dishes dirt on Trump to DNC crowd

Former Donald Trump White House communications director Stephanie Grisham made an appearance during day two of the Democratic National Convention, sharing a few memories from her time serving in the MAGAG leader's administration. Grisham resigned from her position after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. "I never thought I’d be speaking at a Democratic convention," the ex-Trump aide told NBC News Tuesday. "But, after seeing firsthand who Donald Trump really is, and the threat he poses to our country, I feel very strongly about speaking out." READ MORE: Ex-Trump White House official explains why his 2024 campaign is 'sad and depressing to watch' Speaking to DNC audience, Grisham said, "I spent Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all at Mar-a-Lago. Trump is losing his audience

We all know how important crowd size is to Donald Trump. That’s why liberals and Democrats enjoy sharing video clips on social media of his campaign rallies in which there appear to be lots of empty seats. But I think liberals and Democrats are missing the forest for the trees. Crowd size is not as important as crowd interest . The question isn’t whether they’re coming. It’s whether they’re staying. They aren’t. About 7,000-8,000 people attended Trump’s rally on Friday in eastern Pennsylvania, according to Mary Wheeler. Another reporter at the venue (for the New York Post ) said it can hold around 10,000. About an hour into Trump’s speechifying, however, attendees started heading for the exits, according to USA Today reporter Zac Anderson. “Looks like people are starting to trickle out of the Wilkes-Barre Trump rally as he goes past the hour mark. There appears to be more empty seats.” Why aren’t they staying? Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump White House spokeswoman who’s ...
