'Cover-up': Judge seals complaint involving Trump-linked memecoin partners at Pirro’s request

At the request of U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro, a federal judge sealed the entirety of a previously public complaint involving two unnamed partners connected to a memecoin linked to President Donald Trump, journalist Roger Sollenberger reported on the social platform X. Last week, the Department of Justice (DOJ) had already redacted their identities after it was revealed they had been duped out of $250,000 by a Nigerian “fake inaugural committee” scam. In June, the DOJ filed a civil forfeiture complaint in U.S. District Court, seeking to seize over $225 million in cryptocurrency tied to an international “crypto confidence” scheme. The investigation involved the Secret Service and FBI, mapping blockchain trails to trace stolen assets. 'Errand boy': Trump official reveals what president talks about during nightly 1 AM calls

Almost every night, President Donald Trump apparently calls top Cabinet officials for late-night conversations. One of those officials recently opened up about what he and Trump discuss. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick recently did an extensive interview with the New Yorker's Antonia Hitchens (daughter of the late writer Christopher Hitchens), in which he discussed a variety of topics surrounding the president's second term. He told the outlet that every night before he goes to bed — usually around 1 AM — Trump will call him to talk. Lutnick said that aside from "real stuff" like international trade, Trump also likes talking about "sporting events, people, who’d you have dinner with, what was this guy like, can you believe what this guy did, what’s the TV like, I saw this on TV, what’d you think of what this guy said on TV, what did you think abo...

'Made that impossible': Attorney reveals 'big problem' guaranteed to sink Trump's lawsuit

President Donald Trump's legal team made several grave errors in their new $10 billion lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp and Rupert Murdoch, according to an attorney who specializes in First Amendment law. In a thread posted to his X account Friday, Atlanta, Georgia-based lawyer Andrew Fleischman predicted that Trump's lawsuit will be promptly thrown out due to multiple glaring issues. Chiefly, Trump filed the lawsuit in federal court in the Southern District of Florida. While he may have done so as a means of drawing U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon — the Trump appointee who officially scuttled former DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith's classified documents case against Trump last July — Fleischman pointed out that Florida has an anti-SLAPP statute [Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation] that will doom Trump's litigation. Florida's libel and defamation laws also require that plaintiffs give defendants at least five days' notice ...
