Trump GA co-defendant given green light to find 'evidence' of baseless voter fraud claims: report

Nine months after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis charged Donald Trump and 18 MAGA allies for their efforts overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, one co-defendant is still claiming his "concerns about voter fraud," CNN reports.

Former Black Voices for Trump leader Harrison Floyd's lawyers, according to the report, "are pushing to access more than 500,000 ballots from Fulton County, claiming they intend to produce 'evidence' that thousands of votes were improperly excluded from the final vote tally."

The Trump co-defendant — who Fox 5 Atlanta reports, "faces three felony counts for his alleged role in the harassment of poll worker Ruby Freeman" — made his case to Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee during a Tuesday hearing.

Fox 5 Atlanta also notes that during the hearing, "McAfee agreed to give Floyd and his team more time to argue the accuracy of the 2020 election results. Floyd's team asked for time to arrange for legal experts to testify, saying they should be ready by late June or July."

The judge obliged.

CNN notes that Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger "found no evidence of fraud in the 2020 election after overseeing three separate counts of the ballots, conducting many other reviews of the process, and investigating more than 250 claims of voter fraud."

Former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan recently announced that he'll be voting for President Joe Biden in November, while criticizing "his fellow Republican leaders who are '[falling] in line behind' Donald Trump.

Willis is currently "appealing a decision by McAfee to dismiss some of the charges against Trump and some of his co-defendants," according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
