The family of 16-year-old Simbongile Kadeeja Nomntwana is hopeful they will find the remains of their relative. “We’ve searched every riverbank, every shelter, hoping for news. We just want to find her remains so we can bring her home and lay her to rest. Only then will we have some peace.”

But a new report finds that his upbringing was far more affluent than he's suggested. The New York Times reported Friday that McCormick — a former hedge fund executive who lived in Connecticut as recently as 2022 — has been cagey with voters about his childhood.
