FBI leaders push back against Trump admin's demand to investigate 6 Democrats over video

President Donald Trump's administration is reportedly making moves to initiate a criminal investigation into six Democratic members of Congress, but some in the FBI are refusing to go along with the plan. Bloomberg Law reported Wednesday that the FBI headquarters is demanding a "seditious conspiracy investigation" into the Democratic lawmakers — who are all military and intelligence veterans — after they released a video encouraging rank-and-file service members to remember their duty to disobey illegal orders. While the investigation has not yet been launched, this would mark a significant escalation beyond the voluntary inquiry the FBI launched in the immediate aftermath of the video.
